I’ve been having allergies like itchy eyes and runny nose lately, and it seems like I’ve got this slight wheezing along with a little mucus in the back of the throat around the same time the itchy eyes and runny nose came along. Could this just be a symptom of allergies and not a serious condition like asthma? The wheezing isn’t affecting my breathing at all. I’m running miles and can keep my breath and dont have any other troubles with breathing.

yes -go to the ER.
have you tried a quick inhaler to see if it will help. i would go to my dr and have it checked out. don’t do like i did and put it off for years. i ended up with copd and could of slowed down the process if i had of went to the dr sooner.
Yes, allergies can cause that. But it could also be asthma, you should go to the doctor just in case.
If you’ve been having allergies lately you could consider getting allergy shots, might get rid of them and you wouldn’t have to worry so much about serious conditions.
It sounds like hyper-reactive airways disease. When you are exposed to something you are allergic or sensitive to, you start sneezing and your eyes water. This reaction spreads to your lungs causing the airways to swell and increase secretions, resulting in wheezing and coughing. This is all due to the release of histamine in the linings of your sinuses and airways. It’s similar to asthma, but not chronic as asthma is, meaning it only occurs when you’re exposed to something that you’re sensitive to. Antihistamines should help, but if your breathing becomes labored,go to the ER. They can give you a breathing treatment and the Dr. can give you an inhaler such as Ventolin to help open your lungs during an attack.
